Chris Brown - Carpenter's Ghost Production
Episode Vll – Carpenter’s Ghost Production is one of the most eerie one card productions I’ve ever seen. It was shown to me by Jack Carpenter at the GGG convention back in 2010. His exact words were “Chris, this is something I have been playing with, I feel like you could do more with this than I could.” A year later I came back to the next GGG to show him what I had done with it. Jack is easily in my top 20 of greatest card handlers ever. Anybody who has seen Jack work knows how lethal he is with a deck. He can perform left handed and right handed, the first time I saw him do this my jaw dropped. Very few card men are able to do this. So for Jack to hand down this torch to me, I was extremely humbled. This is Jack’s idea that he passed down to me to see where I could take it considering my obsession with moves like this. And to set the record clear from the start, I contacted Jack himself and he gave me his blessings to make this one of my episodes. I entitled it the Ghost Production because it feels as if an invisible force is pulling this card out of the spread. I’ve had a few people ask and let me set the record straight, there is NO gaff. 100% dexterity and pasteboard physics. All you need is a deck and a little bit of practice. I use it in a few of my routines when I want to pull a random card out in a flourishy fashion. Moves like this display your elegance while moving around the deck. It makes the visual experience more rich for your spectator. Welcome to Episode Vll, and beware of ghosts.
